"How kind of you to return Kurbacs to us. A pity you won't be around to watch him scour this wor-”

-An Unnamed Vir

The first phylactery found was a needle-shaped pendant recovered by Fytheias Faen from a wounded Vir on the outskirts of Brink, as noted in his Personal Logs. When studied in a ritual circle by Mirna Wren, an entity was sensed within which screamed incoherently with enough intensity to cause her a severe headache.

During the study of a Vir prisoner conducted under Iri Harbyron, the captive recognized the pendant and under the influence of a Speak with Dead spell referred to it as "Kurbacs." It attempted to reclaim the artifact at great harm to itself, but ultimately failed and was destroyed. Iri Harbyron is currently continuing research on the name "Kurbacs" at this time.

The second of these to be recovered was found deep in the Grove of a Vir'Bren named Haaskat. It was recovered by Igneus' rear guard during their time in the Origin, where Fytheias was able to identify and retrieve the artifact due to his previous experience. (Knowledge: Fytheias 1) Once the phylactery was separated from the Grove the Vir'Bren was unable to regenerate its body, but after examining it Mirna was able to determine that Haaskat's spirit was not yet present in the vessel. Upon Haaskat's final defeat at the hands of Brink, its spirit returned to the phylactery where it is now held.

The phylacteries of both Kurbacs and Haaskat are currently held in Fytheias' personal possession at all times.
